Despite the rainy and cold weather, the group set off to Place De La Bastille where we learned about its historic and modern significance. Although it no longer stands, some of the stones that survived the the storming of the Bastille now make up the roads and buildings. Today it is a common place to hold demonstrations. Afterwards, the group set off to see the Carnavalet museum.
The group then stopped for some lunch at a falafel shop and explored Le Marais!
